Christopher Lehman, Founding Director of The Educator Collaborative and author of popular professional titles including, Falling In Love with Close Reading and Energize Research Reading and Writing, will join us on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 for a fun, inspiring, and practical conversation about making the most of great literacy practices in Social Studies.
Are you struggling with implementing the new Social Studies standards and finding resources to meet your objectives, while maximizing your planning and instructional time?
This session will focus on the integration of Social Studies Standards into your literacy and language arts block, helping you make the most of your day. Attendees will review the vertical alignment of standards and progression between grade levels, as well as evaluate resources and discuss how they can be utilized in the literacy block as read alouds, whole group or small group instruction, and independent reading.
